Blog YIMBY Denver 2021 Ballot Endorsements

Here's the YIMBY Denver voting guide for 2021!

  • No on 2E
In the light of our city’s affordable housing crisis and inadequate walk/bike/transit infrastructure, YIMBY Denver believes that it is a poor use of 190 million dollars to build a National Western Stock Show arena and that these funds should be used to finance our city’s more pressing needs.
  • No on 2F
If 2F passes it will be illegal to have more than one roommate and it will make it harder to build residential care facilities such as homeless shelters, community corrections, and assisted living facilities. By limiting the flexibility of where and how people can live, 2F would make Denver’s housing crisis worse. For more details, visit https://www.keepdenverhoused.com/
  • No on 301
This ballot initiative only affects the Park Hill Golf Course despite language that implies otherwise. If 301 passes and 302 fails, it will take another vote of the people to allow Park Hill Golf Course to be anything other than an 18-hole golf course. We support building both housing and parks on this very large parcel of land.
  • Yes on 302

  • No on 303
This initiative has dubious legal legitimacy, would likely cost Denver tens of millions of dollars, and require grossly impractical enforcement sweeps against the unhoused. Instead of trying to brush the homelessness crisis under the rug the city should instead pursue housing first initiatives.
  • No on 120
Reducing property taxes on multifamily housing and lodging properties would starve state and local governments of critical resources for schools, water, transportation, housing, and emergency services. Reducing taxes on landlords is unlikely to pass cost savings on to renters.
