We are thrilled to announce some significant developments within our organization. These seek to make us more effective in our efforts toward greater housing choice, affordability, and livability in Colorado. They also introduce new ways that you, our members, can be involved in the organization!
Revised Bylaws
Over the past few months, the YIMBY Denver Leads have been diligently working on revising our organization's bylaws. These bylaws have been officially adopted by the Leads. They will serve as the cornerstone of our operations moving forward, and a copy of the revised bylaws can be found here for your review.
New Executive Committee
Our new bylaws establish an Executive Committee constituted of our officers. The purposes of this committee are to assist the President in providing strategic leadership of the chapter by setting agendas for the monthly meeting, making expeditious decisions when time sensitivity is a concern, and ensuring that all Chapter activities align with and effectively advance the mission of YIMBY Denver.
Having completed elections for our officers, we are excited to introduce our newly elected Executive Committee, a group of dedicated individuals who bring a wealth of experience and passion to their respective roles:
- Ryan Keeney, President
- Frank Locantore, Vice President
- Anna De Witt, Secretary
- Jonathan Pira, Treasurer
New Committee Chairs
Additionally, the bylaws call for committee chairs. These Chairs are responsible for setting the agenda of their Committee and ensuring the tasks of the Committee are completed. The Executive Committee has appointed the following committee chairs who will be instrumental in leading our various initiatives.
- Abe Kaul, Membership Committee Chair
- Luchia Brown, Communications Committee Chair
- Matthew Larsen, Events Committee Chair
We are confident that under their guidance, our committees will flourish and contribute to the fulfillment of our organizational mission. Committee chairs will be reaching out shortly to garner interest in participating, so be on the lookout if you are interested in increasing your personal level of involvement!
