YIMBY Denver endorsed three ballot measures that advance our ideals of more housing for more people, and a more functional Denver. Let’s look at the results!
- We said Yes! In My Back Yard to Proposition 123 – Make Colorado Affordable. We won, 53-47%! Dedicated funds are an important part of making sure everyone has a roof over their head.
- We said Yes! In My Back Yard to No Eviction Without Representation. While NEWR did not win, it was a strong showing and it shows that there’s a broad base of our city who wants a better housing system. The work continues.
- We said Yes! In My Back Yard to Denver Deserves Sidewalks. We won, 56-44%! A city that centers the dignity of people is a world-class city. This moves Denver in the right direction.
For the Denver election in spring 2023, we will be changing our endorsement process and polling our members about their opinions in every race. Housing is likely to be the #1 issue, and we want to make sure we have candidates who champion housing.
